After a year of taking ballet Miss Vivian finally had her very first dance recital.
Boy was she proud and excited to show off her dance moves but most of all.... her costume.
The Dance Arts Studio put on a fabulous production of
The little girls in Vivian's class and age group were the
I took these super sweet photos of proud Vivi and family.
I was extremely lucky to zoom in and capture a few shots of the performance.
These are the adorable flowered poppies.
The bumble bee's soon took the stage and flew around the sleeping poppies.
The very end of the production they all fluttered back onto the stage to wave and take a bow. Sooooo sweet!!!!
Curtis and I both *sighed* with relief after the performance that Vivi did not freeze up on stage or better yet NOT go on stage. You never know what they might do at this age. Get a bit stage fright perhaps. Lol!!
She did a wonderful job and was just beaming with smiles!!!!
She had a big bouquet of flowers waiting for her afterwards.
I could just tell by her smiles and giddiness she was happy and proud!
These are precious lifetime moments we will cherish and remember forever.
Vivi's first dance recital.
Congratulations my little Bumble Bee!
The Pictures are beautiful. So sweet.

How wonderful for young children - girls and boys - to participate and learn confidence at such an early age. The whole production seemed amazing. Your daughter is beautiful and I bet even more beautiful without stage makeup. Productions real push are little ones into a grown up world.

OMG SWEET SWEET VIVI.
This was the BEST ever thing today. I've been on a break, and haven't visited anyone, but when little VIVI's bumble bee costume came on I just had to take a peek. How proud you are Jenn, and you should be. I remember Brittany's first recital. My heart was HUGE.
Little Grant looks very proud of his little sister.
LOVE this post.
and you

Oh my goodness, Jen, what a very lovely bee is that Viv! All these pictures are just gorgeous and make me wish I could have seen the performance myself. I love all the sweet family shots, too. How very special that you gave Vivian a bouquet of flowers after her performance. She must have been floating on air!

Loved seeing your beautiful Bumblebee! She is a doll! My daughter Marielle's 7th dance recital is quickly approaching. She just had her dress rehearsal and watching the youngest dancers to the oldest made my heart ache in a good way. Remembering my beautiful daughter and all the costumes and recitals makes me proud and happy. May Miss Vivian dance all the days of her life! Enjoy these special days! Sincerely, Patti H. How adorable!! So glad she did great on stage, because you just never know what to expect. I can still remember keeping my fingers crossed that my daughter would enjoy it, and thankfully she did. We are getting ready for my daughter's last recital in a few weeks. She started at 3 years old and will celebrate 15 years of dancing for the same studio.

Ah so sweet! Your girl looks so cute in her costume. And you, mom get to buy flowers for many performances to come! Dance is one of those wonderful enjoyments that last a lifetime! I know -- my 82 year old mom and 24 year old daughter both still tap dance in class, shows & recitals.
Thanks for sharing the precious event.
