Jenn...what a glorious mood you must be in!! To find out that you have siblings, and nieces . Your heart must be filled with joy!! I am happy for you! Your sweet son is going to just love kindergarten (What a doll he is), I hope Miss Viv enjoys all the mommy time she will get to herself!! You looked stunning at your class reunion...what a gorgeous couple you and hubby are. Have a blast on your adventure to Hawaii!! Big Hugs.

Hey Jenn!
I just found this post and you are in Hawaii with your 'new' extended family by now. I hope you are having a fabulous time. What a wonderful post that parallels my life a bit, but my father remained estranged from me and my brothers after my parents were divorced. He was abusive to my mom, so that was one reason he lived on the west coast and we never went to see him from the east coast. I can't say how touched I was to read a successful reunion was going to happen with you, your dad and half siblings.
My father is deceased now and I do hope to go to Oregon and meet my other relatives there (he was the black sheep in the family) and also see the land he loved and missed while he was living in PA and NJ.

BTW, I hope that both you and Jessi will go to the Spookytime event in NJ because that is only 70 miles from me! I can probably go! And if you go, I can recommend things in that wonderful, beautiful area.

Thanks for sharing your story.

WOW...a big WOW! That does sound like something from the movies. I'm so glad it is a happy reunion and you found your missing pieces. My own dad was missing for years - not a divorce - he just deserted my mom & 6 kids - no calls or visits from when I was 6 until I was 15 and saw him again...unfortunately, it was not a good thing...but, I love to hear happy stories such as yours. :)

Jenn~ "OH HAPPY DAY! "
You have shown through your wonderful posts how precious family is to you. I can just imagine how magical the moment will be when you meet your dad and extended family in person.
Your story took my breath away...I don't get to see my brothers ans sis much. Their last visit with us was at my son and dil's wedding a few years ago. Hubby and I took everyone on PNW beach vacation. Those memories are priceless, as I'm sure the ones you are about to create will be too.
I look forward to you sharing more with us.

Sweet wishes,

wow. So as I leave this comment you aren't there, but meeting your father. :o) I hope it all goes well for you both.

Gosh, what a moving post. You've had me tears from Grant going to kindergarten!

You are right, there is a lot going on in your life right now, all of it sifnificant.

I am so happy for you, and by the way, you and your mum are so alike, I love the wedding photo.

Take care, and Good Luck! xxxx

I am so thrilled to see you've connected with your father and siblings. A girl needs her daddy's love, at every age in her life! I hope you're having fun in HA, we love that Kauai (don't run over any chickens!). I enjoyed reading such an uplifting story, touched my heart!

Hi Jenn,
I just found your blog and have enjoyed spending time reading your post and learning more about you.. I have become a follower.
What a special week you will have being reunited with your Dad and meeting other family members.. My niece has been searching for her Father and no luck yet...one day when the time is right she will meet him.
You have been blessed with a beautiful family.
Come by for a visit anytime.
Big hugs~Elizabeth~Home is Where the Heart is~

There are a lot of comments here but I hope you read this one. I have such mixed emotions about this. My biological father has always been out of the picture. My mom divorced him when I was a baby and then she remarried when I was 2. My "step father" IS my father as far as I am concerned. My biological father has not made any efforts to contact me my whole life and then out of the blue last summer, he contacted me through Facebook of all ways to reach out.
I ignored the message and I decided I don't want to open that door. Reading this post has caused me some doubt but I think I'll pray on it and ask God to direct me. I don't want to be unforgiving but I also don't want a relationship with someone who has ignored me for my whole life. *sigh*
