Gooooing to the chapel and were gooooing to get maaarried.....Well, not I (hee! hee!), but a beautiful couple named Matt and Melissa are tying the knot! Melissa's lovely and super kind mother Ann commissioned me to make a vintage bridal piece for her daughters upcomming wedding shower. I was delighted, because I've never created a wedding piece before so this was an exciting and fun challange for me.
Here is the happy and beautiful couple!!!
The centerpiece is a lovely vintage bride doll that I froofed up a bit and she is standing on top of a faux assemblage cake.
So sweet and pretty she is.
I wanted this piece to be soft and dreamy full of pretty papers, lace, tulle, rhinestone bling, and beautiful trims.
The lovely details.....
Honeycomb wedding bells that I bought at Michaels and "tea-stained" them gently and added gold glitter. Trust me...I went threw a few of these to get them just perfect. They are so delicate and if you get them too wet, they tear easily.
I adorned the sides with vintage wedding greeting card images. I love how the image looks so elegant against the gold doiley.
With this ring....
White doves...a symbol of peace.
A vintage blue garter I found at a local antique shop. PERFECT!!!!
Adorable little wedding cherubs.
What's a wedding without a "Just Married" car ??? This sweet and final touch was truly a last minute thought. I had this pink little car sitting on my shelf in my studio, and I just looked up at it, and my "light bulb" went off. ;)
Instead of traditional aluminum cans trailing off the bumper. I opted for pretty pearl and shiny bits!
I am so happy and pleased with how this piece turned out. Im delighted that it will be a part of Melissa's wedding shower, and I HOPE she will love and cherish this piece for many years and anniversary celebrations to come!!!
Have a wonderful week sweet friends!!!!
Jenn, that is just stunning!!! i love all of the details: the bells, the dove, the just married CAR {truly inspired, that was},the bling, the trims and papers...it is all so pretty...the bride to be is going to flip!!!

Again Jenn, you've done it! What a wonderful talent you have, i'm so glad i found your blog all those months ago! You ALWAYS inspire me!! The "cake" is GORGEOUS! do you have one of those stamp pads by Tim Holtz? that might do the trick for the aged look? just a thought....

Gorgeous! I really love your light bulb idea! Those beautiful jewels look beautiful trailing behind the pink car! I agree with misschell those Tim Holtz distress ink pads may make it easier for aging the honeycombs. You out did yourself Miss Jenn. I am sure the bride will cherish it and it will be the bell of the shower!

I enjoyed looking from picture to picture and seeing every detail. So cute. Love the pink car with gems tinkling at the back (now, I think everybody would love that for real LOL)
Oh I'm pretty sure the bride would be very happy receiving this. Well, I'm no bride and I got excited LOL
