Did you grow up with a childhood stuffed animal that you worshiped and loved so much?

I know I did. Several. Too many to count. I had a real weakness for cute cuddly stuffed animals.

 

I still do today, especially those from the 50's.

 

 

 

They have certain look and style about them that I adore. Cute big heads, black eyes, and felted red tongues. 

 

 

My sweet friend Shelley McNair Burgess found this pink teddy and surprised me with her.

She's old, worn and well loved!

 

 

 

 

While shopping a flea market recently I found these darling knitted bunny mittens.

Seriously cute huh? Too bad they don't make them in adult sizes. ;)

 

 

 

 

 

My next adorable treasure is this mini suitcase with a pink fluffy lamb and her friends.

 

 

Pink lambs = Heart stopping, pass out on the floor... LOVE!

Eye Candy 5 year Blog Birthday

 

 

 

WOW! It's hard to believe I've been blogging and sharing for five years now!  

So much has changed with blogging. With Facebook and Pinterest I can see how less and less people blog and read blogs. 

I confess....Im on of them.

I use to blog weekly, and enjoyed reading my friends blogs to keep up with their personal and creative adventures. 

Im bummed that I no longer make the time like I use too. 

 I get busy multitasking life, and being a pinterest addict. 

However with that being said, I still get tremendous joy and statsifaction sharing my stories with my readers ( I have no clue if anyone really reads it anymore. ha!) and visiting my artsy friends blogs. As well as seeing new upcomming trendy blogs.

I profess that blogging has changed my life in the BEST way ever!!!

For so many reasons I won't bore you with the details. ;)

 

Like most readers when you visit you prefer to see pretty pictures or something fun that brings a smile to your face. 

So enough with my chatty chat and I'll show a Birthday Picture frame I made in honor of turning 5!

The frame is an assemblage collage I created on canvas.

I used vintage birthday wrapping paper and vintage sweet bits.

Happy Summer Friends!

 

I hope you and your family had a fabulous 4th of July!

 

My family and I took our yearly vacation to the gorgeous beaches of Seaside, FL.

 

It's a wonderful destination spot and super kid friendly!

 

Most all the homes you can rent have beachy character and charm.

Shop Update ~ Bunny Gumball Machines

 

Hi Friends!

 

After a SUPER long creative hiatus I'm finally able to enjoy my studio and start creating whimsical magic again!

 

I wasn't sure what I wanted to tackle first. There's a long list of things Im inspired to create. However, one of my most favorite things to make is my gumball assemblages.

 

If you can believe it I started making these late winter and was hoping to have them finished by early Spring time. Sadly life got busy and these little darlings got put on hold.

Little Miss Bunny is Pretty In Pink!

 

 

 

 

I tried something new this time around with my gumball machines to give them a little extra pizzaz! I added beautiful fabric to the base of the machine.

 

Some of you might recognize the print and desgin. It's the talented Jennifer Paganelli's Sis Boom Fabric.  Im a huge fan of Sis Boom. The colors are so bright and yummy!

Jennifer is one of the nicest ladies I know! I hope she likes this new added twist of using her fabric on my creation. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tucked inside is a vintage Nancy Ann doll wearing her pretty spring fashion dress.

She and miss bunny are taking a leisurely stroll thru the garden.

French Settee Makeover

 

 

 

 

Hi Friends!

Im excited to share with you my DIY makeover of this beautiful settee and chairs I had purchased many years ago.

Hubby and I were browsing Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta, and I spotted this gorgeous French setee and chairs.

Upon looking at the set I wasn't quite sure where I would put it. At the time we had just moved into our current home and I had 90% of the interior house finished and decorated.

I already had a beautiful sofa for my home as well as a victorian sofa I had inherited from my great-grandmother.

None of that matterd tho'... I  had already fallen head over heels in love with the gorgeous ornate wood carvings and caned back. 

The seller was willing to give us a good deal so it was too good to pass up! :)

 

*** Fast Forward***

All these years I never used the set. :( They sat in my basement and later in the storage unit.

 

A few weeks ago I saw them in my storage unit and my  light bulb went OFF!

I knew exactly how I would decorate them and where I would put them.

 

 Before

I painted both the setee and chairs and distressed them lightly. 

I've yet to have them both reupholsted. However, for now and to keep the project budget friendly I was able to cover them all with gorgeous swoon worthy fabrics that were lightly drapped on the chairs. 

 

Believe it or not...I coverd the setee with a light pink lacy ruffled shower curtain I purchased from Urban Barn.

 Pretty huh?

The settee is in my bedroom (boudoir as I like to call it. :) ) at the foot of my bed against the fireplace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hubby and I just recentely celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversay and one of my sweet gifts was a new Rachel Ashwell White Duvet called Petticoat.

So pretty!!!

 

 

 

Thanks to my handy little cellphone photographer Grant he captured this photo of me and my fur babies enjoying our lovely settee.

 

 

It's truly amazing what a little paint and some pretty fabric can do!

A night and day transformation.

Affaire At Tiffany's!

 

After five full magnificiant day's in sunny CA Im slowly coming down off my Affarie at Tiffany's high!

 

 

 

Once again, Kim Caldwell has hosted another gorgeous and extradoinary event!

I've attended four of Kim's event's and to date....I think this one was my personal fav.

The event was a glamour girls dream!!!

 

 

Kim did not spare one detail!

She showered and pampered us with gifts galore!!!

 

 

 

The best part of attending events is the opportunity to see your friends again and forming new friendships.

 

 

My weekend kicked-off with hanging with my close peeps and hitting the LA shops.

More good times, memories, pretty projects, gifts & treasures were all going home back to GA with me.

My Darling Girls

 

 

It was love at first sight.

 

I was shopping in Canton, TX a few weeks ago and walked into a antique booth that was calling my name. 

 

Locked inside a small glass case is where I spied these little beauties.

 

 

I remember quickly asking the owner to please let me see and hold them. 

 

They were tucked neatly inside their original box.

 

 

 

 

I examined each of these bisque dolls wearing their cute pink bows and pastel dresses. 

They were each in *mint* condition.

 

 

 

 

 

I've never been so lucky to find a set of dolls in their original box that were flawless and never used.

 

These cuties were too good to pass up!

 

 

I will never sell, use, or part with them.

I happily display them in my studio where I can admire these charming girlies and who knows maybe one day this whole set will be really worth something big! ;)

 

 

Do you think I should name them? 

It might sound corny, but I think it would be adorable if they each had a name.  

 

You are probably thinking Im off my rocker! ha! ha!

Blue Bonnet Beauties

 

 It's been two weeks since I've returned from Karen Hillman's Beauty In Blue event. To this day my mind keeps drifting and dreaming of the Texas Blue Bonnet fields.

 

When you see the fields for the first time it truly takes your breath away. 

Mother Nature at it's finest!!!

 

If it wasn't for the rockin', beautiful, talented, sincere, fun loving Karen Hillman I highly doubt I would have had the opportunity to surround myself with such beauty. Mother nature and the lovely ladies. 

 

I had the most FABULOUS time at Beauty in Blue!

 

 

We stayed at the most darling ranch located on acres of land in Scurry, Texas.

 

Whitworth Ranch Retreat

 

Stacey Seely is the owner of the ranch and she went above and beyond for us girls.

She spoiled us with her daily delicious gourmet cooking! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We crafted our little hearts out in this cozy building located just outside the house.

 

Karen didn't miss a detail!

 

 

 

 

 

Beautiful swap gifts were exchanged and raffled prizes given away!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sugar is always a hit at an event!

 

 

 

Our first project was Molly Knox's gorgeous Blue Elegance Vignette.

 

I love how my dress turned out simple and sweet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Karen's Belle In The Blue Bonnet class we made these gorgeous statement necklaces.

 Our last project of the day was my Bountiful Bucket of Beauty.

We kicked off our shopping expedition at Red Shed Antiques located in Grapevine.

 

They had a lovely welcome reception for us with food and drinks.

Girls Gone Junkin' rolled out the ivory/burlap/cream carpet for us!

The ladies all had huge Texas smiles and warm greetings!

 

 

I had to pick up my jaw up off the floor when I saw the space. Every inch...every corner was full of gorgeous and exquisite detail.

These women photographed here all have a special and dear place in my heart.

When you spend a cozy intimate weekend of nine ladies on a lone Texas ranch you begin to develop a fond kindred friendship. You share personal stories and learn more in depth about that person.  You never the know the shoes they've walked in.

Always remember you can never judge from the outside.  It's what's inside that counts!

These women reminded me of that during our lovely time together.

Easter Bunny Is Coming To Town!

 

 

 

 

Easter snuck up on me this year! 

I had high hopes of making tons of Spring/Easter creations to sell in my shop BEFORE Easter but unfortunately I ran out of time.

 

I do have some AMAZING new creations Im almost finished tweaking and two of them are my yummy vintage gumball assemblages.  Can't wait to share!

 

I do however have this one fun assemblage I created for Easter and had a blast making it.

The 9 Lives Of Lady Duchess ~ A Little Short Story

 

In early 2009 I wrote a tiny short story.

 

 

I sat down at the computer one night and started writing. It was to be sweet, charming, and whimsical.

 

The very next day I excitedly created an altered art piece of the main character and a pretty little storybook to go along with it.

 

I've debated for three long years whether I should share it with you or not.

For as my goal is to write a children's storybook based on this prissy highfalutin character.

 

Fear has kept me back, and the horrid thought of someone stealing my idea as well. 

You know how it is. Once you put it out there...

 

However, after much thought and debate over the years I've finally said to myself "Why not? Just put it out there Jenn!"

 

For me it's the stepping stone to putting it out there. Making my dream more of a reality. Committing to the project I have for so long put off.

 

Without further adieu....

Fabulous Vintage Eye Candy Finds

For as long as I've been blogging I've always enjoyed sharing some of my wonderful vintage flea market finds or purchases that I've scored on Etsy & Ebay.

It's fun to share because so many of us ladies have the same undying love for vintage.

 

I feel like a lady can never have enough pearls. It's fun to layer them a la Coco Chanel.

This is a pretty pearl choker I found on Etsy.  It's totally gorgoues on and will look perfect with a little black dress.

 

 

 

If I don't wear my pearls with a dress I can always wear them with my apron and channel my inner 50's housewife. ;)

For you ladies who loves poodles check out this fabulous 50's vintage lamp. 

 

 

 

 

I found it at an antique store a few months back. I didn't care for the lamp shade so I found two pink swiss dot lampshades on Ebay to replace it with.

 

 

 

 

 

The lamp looks darling on my bedside table and closely sitting next

to my boudoir pillow.

 

EEEK! Yes...I couldn't resist this pink powder puff pillow.

This pillow is not vintage. It's brand new.

The powder puff can be used by burlesque dancers as a stage prop as well.

For my  kitchen I found this hand painted bowl on Etsy.

A few months ago when my friend Lori Oles was in town we visited an antique store where I found this terrifc pink pie storage cabinet. It was the prettiest pale pink color.

Just needed a little cleaning.

 

 

 

There was no room for it in my kitchen so I have it in my studio and it's a perfect little work space table for my children when they come to visit.

 

 

 

I also scored this seriously cute bunny cookie jar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I found some terrific items to use in my studio and art creations.

 

These mini trays are perfect for using when working with jewelry, beads, little small items.

It came as a set of eight.

While shopping at the Country Living Fair last October I shopped a vendor who had an amazing collection.

Last week my Mother and I stopped into a local antique shop just to browse and

my Mom found this super sweet children's book.

 She loves cat's so the cover totally caught her eye.

Back in the day authors use to give their story characters name's like

Betty Bluebird, Sammy Skunk, Timmy Turtle, etc.

I've always found it charming. 

 

While researching how to write a picture book in today's world of sophisticated children's books the industry say's it's a huge "No! No!"

Basically from what I've read editors will reject your book in a heartbeat if

you name your storybook characters such as Peneolope Poodle.

They say name's like that shout "cute" and "lack of respect for the child listner". 

Blah...blah...blah...

 

My two cents on this....is poo on them!

I think it's darling and has a sense of nostalgia when naming them 

such charming simple names.

 

Again, that's why I plan to self-publish so I have complete freedom with my children's book.

 

Ok...off my SOAPBOX! ha! ha!

Finally!

Im happy to share some sneak peeks of my studio.

It's about 80% completed and has been a work in progess. 

I underestimated how much stuff I've accumulated over the years. Plus the process of  unpacking and organizing took longer than I had expected.

 

 I decided to take my own sweet time making the space into the most heavenly inspiring work place for me to create in.

 

I can honestly say when I step inside these four walls now I feel uplifted and happy.

You can't help but smile.

Dont you just love the feeling of a New Year?

It's amazing how the first day into a new calander year feels incredibly different mentally.

 

As much as I love the holidays, I look forward to life getting back to some level of normalcy again. 

 

I think that's the time we tend to re-evaluate what our personal goals might be and what we strive to accomplish in the New Year.

 

 

Hmmm....what do I want to accomplish this year??? 

 

 

Well for one thing I am excited to focus on creating again.

It feels like ages since I've made time to sit down and create new pieces of work.

My creative soul misses it terribly!

With my new studio almost 80% unpacked and organized Im ready to dive in and start creating again.

Shortly after Texas Im headed to sunny CA to attend my fourth Kim Caldwell

Artistic Affaire event.

Im in LOVE with the theme!!

 

 

Kim's event's always blow me away. Every detail is exquisite and her guest are pampered and spoiled like crazzy!

I always have a blast seeing my creative peeps and enjoying a little bit of the CA scene.

 

 

The biggest thing Im most anxious and looking forward to is FINALLY working on a project that has been brewing for the past three years now.

I've put if off long enough and finally Im going make the time to work on self-publishing my first children's book. 

 

It's one of my dreams to use my artwork mixed with photography (no illustrations) to create a beautiful and whimsical picture storybook. 

 

My story will be based on this pretty Kitty Kat named Duchess.

 

 

You will learn more about Duchess in the next few weeks. 

She wishes for a GRAND INTRODUCTION blog post.

 

When it comes to publishing a book fear has held me back.

Everytime I sit down to work on it I get overwhelmed. Plus, my mind races with the fears of "what if's".

Even tho' I've done alot of research I still feel like I know very little about the publishing world. The GOOD news to all of this is the self-publishing world has exploded and more and more writers are now turning to self-publishing.

There are so many reputable companies to choose from now. 

(If you, or anyone you know has experience with self-publishing a book and want to share your input,tips, or advice please email me. I would love to hear from you!)

 

Im SUPER excited and ready to work on my book. I told myself I must commit to this project that I've been dreaming about for so long.

The reward of being able to open my own storybook and read to my children is the dream of all dreams!

 

With that being said this is my motto for 2012.

Welcome Friends to my Holiday Home!

 

This time of year I enjoy opening up my home to you and sharing photos of my home decorated for the  holiday season. 

 

Ever since I've started blogging I've made it a tradition to host a little show and tell of my festive home.

This year I really focused on decorating my new kitchen and making it super retro bright!

My children are at the age that they are really into Christmas so I needed at least one room of my house to be fun and colorful.

 

This is a fab ceramic tree I recently found.

 

 

 

I wanted that "old school" Christmas look so I hung the tree and wreaths with big fat bulbs like we used when I was growing up.

 

 

 

 

 

Im always searching for and collecting vintage Santa's and blow molds along the way each year.

 

My absolute FAVORITE new find is this Santa cookie jar!

 

 

My children's eyes light up over the lights, and Christmas sounds that fill the room.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love my blue hutch with the red colored accents.

I have displayed on my kitchen table a red Christmas tree with my children's handmade school ornaments.

 Christmas has arrived early for me!

A wonderful gift of having both of my last workshop events published in two inspiring and fabulous publications.

 

Where Women Cook Celebrations Book by Jo Packham was unveiled in mid-October. 

I was very fortunate to have Lark Publications sponsor my Dream event and all my lovely guest each received a copy.

Petticoats & Parasols was featured in the Sweet Cupcake Queen Cheryl Day of Back in the Day Bakery.

 

 

 

 

 

The book is a page by page visual indulgence of food and entertainment.

 

 

 

As of yesterday I FINALLY got my hands on the newest Winter Issue of

Creating Vintage Charm.

 

It's a stunning issue full gorgeous holiday decor, crafts, and tutorials.

 

 

 

Senior Editor and friend Sonia Crouse attended Once Upon A Dream and it was her desire and wish to feature the event.

 

Sonia did an incredible job with the layout. She captured it just like the Storybook it was meant to be!

Also, an *extra* bonus is Natasha Burns Midsummer Fairy Tale Mobile Tutorial. 

It's a beautiful project that I know you would enjoy creating.

 

I am always appreciative and humbled to have something Im so passionate about published in any publication. It's nice to have the memories printed on beautiful pages for years to cherish.

Eye Candy Christmas Digital Designs available!

 

It's that wonderful and joyous time of year again. 

One of my absolute favorite holidays to create and make whimsical holiday treasures.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to start working in my studio to create new Christmas goodies. I completely underestimated how long it would take to unpack and organize the whole space.

I can't believe how much art and craft supplies I have accumulated over the years.

It's a shocking amount!

I discovered 4 bottles of Martha Stewart silver glitter that I had no clue about.

I have a tendency to buy products not realizing I already have it at home stocked away somewhere.

Oops!

So long story short, it's been a time consuming process making sure everything is super organized just to my liking.

 

I want a clean organized studio space before I get my hands full of glue, paper, and glitter again. ;) 

 

 

Meanwhile in my downtime at home I've been getting my "creative fix" by playing around with digital designs. 

 

I've come up with a few sweet and shabby Christmas banners and gift tags that are now available in my Etsy Shop.

 

 

 Each banner will be customized with your name.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gift tags will be a set of six 2.75x4 size on a 8.5x11 size paper.

Wishing You A Happy Thanksgiving...

 

 

I always love this time of year.

Fall is still lingering...as well as the piles of leaves on my lawn.

The temperature is slowly cooling...which means warm cozy fires at night.

The holidays quickly approach...and that means quality time spent with family and friends.

 

My children are out of school for Thanksgiving break. It's nice having them home and getting a mini break from school responsibilities.

 

We plan on spending our Thanksgiving holiday at my In-laws house along with my Mom, Step-Dad, and little brother.

I can already taste the turkey and the trimmings! YUMMERS!!!

Im also planning on taking the kids to see the new Muppet movie over this holiday weekend.

As a little girl I grew up watching the Muppet Show back in the 70's. 

I can honestly say I think Im way more excited to see the movie than my children. 

I always giggled the most over the Swedish Chef and Beaker.

Celebrating 25 years!

 

This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity of getting away for a girls weekend trip with my long time best friend Kristie Kline.

Kristie and I met 25 years ago in middle school. Yep! We go way back!

We've been thru the best of times together as well as the worst of times.

She's always been for me no matter what, and I feel so incredibly blessed that our friendship continues to grow stronger and stronger as the years keep strolling by.

Sadly, Kristie lives in Texas and I in Georgia so unfortunately we don't get to see each other often. 

That's why we always make it a point to plan a girls trip.

To spend quality time together and celebrate our longtime friendship.

 

 

Kris and I hit the big city of.... 

 

 

 

This was our 3rd bi-annual trip to Chicago. We love the city so much we keep coming back!

 

 

We stayed at the Conrad hotel near Michigan Mile and the best part of the hotel is it's connected to Nordstroms!!! 

My favorite department store!!!

 

 

 

 

Girls trips are always about some shopping time! hee! hee!

 

 

 

 

 

I couldn't resist a few splurges. 

 

Kate Spade has her new fall handbag collection on display and for purchase.

I fell in love with her Flicker Melinda handbag.

It's a classic black patent leather with gold trim.

A women can never pass up a visit to the Nordstroms shoe department.

I haven't purchased high heel shoes in quite awhile. I don't wear heels often, but for the right occasion there is nothing more beautiful and sexier than a gorgeous pair of heels!

So fab!!!

 

Both Kristie and I purchased a pair.

 

 

While in the intimates department Kris and I took a quick look at the bra's and panties. I had NO intention of buying a bra that day. Just browsing and looking.

 

One hour later....

 

I was purchasing four new bra's. 

 

 

Ladies I can't believe I am admitting this, but for the past several years I have been wearing the WRONG bra size!!!!

Not just me, but also Kristie! Both of us!!

 

I had no clue the science and engineering of how the "perfect fitting" bra.

The super knowledgeable saleswomen was incredible in showing and explaining to us how the perfect bra should fit. 

WOW! What an immediate difference I felt! 

 

 

So ladies....take the time to visit a department store with experienced ladies to help assist you. You never know...you might also be wearing the wrong bra size. ;)

 

 

Night time we hit the town!

 

 

 

 

We met up with some of Kristie's girlfriends.

 

 

 

 

Dinner and drinks at the hotspot Sunda.

 

 

 

 

 

Next night we visited the uber cool and chic Ian Schrager's Public Hotel.

 

 

 

 

The original hotel was a hot spot for celebs back in the day.

Frank Sinatra, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas and many more.

 

The hotel has a modern glamourous 1930's & 40's look.

 

The Pump Room is the hotel lounge and bar. 

 

 

 

 

A fun place to have a martini, chat and people watch.

Time flew those few days.

We talked, giggled and reminisced the whole weekend long.

 

As I get older and realize more and more the importance of family and friendship I don't take it for granted like I use to. Time is precious and so is our friends. 

I cherished my girl "friendship" time no matter who Im with, but I especially cherish it with my best friend Kristie.

The home away from home will be held at the charming Whitworth Ranch Retreat located 50 miles from Dallas.

 

 

The ranch home was built in the late 1800's and the rooms are decorated in the prettiest soft shabby pale colors.

The ranch is the perfect place for us girls to have a "grown up" slumber party

while crafting and creating projects in beautiful shades of blues, creams and whites.

Bring On The Candy!!!

 

 

Hi Friends! Hope your Halloween was SPOOKTACULAR!

My two goblins went as a Star Wars Clone Trooper Rex and Miss Pixie Fairy.

 

Poor Grant...the costume is really cute on him, but the mask didn't fit well. :(

He could barely see out. 

I told him next year we are going to ditch any type of costume that has a mask. 

I usually end up carrying the mask the whole time.

It's no surprise Vivian dressed up as a fairy. It's a super cute costume that she can play during dress up.

Kids stayed up way past bedtime on a school night just like I thought would happen. The sugar rush hit them hard and the candy coma set in. I barely got them bathed and PJ's on till the fell fast asleep.

 

Once kiddies were fast asleep Mamma got to go trick or treating in their buckets. hee! hee!

Life is sloooowly coming back to reality for me. Im finally getting settled and back into the daily swing of things. I think my family is happy to have me back too!

 This fairytale event has been a year in the planning. It finally came to life in the most beautiful and breathtaking way I could have ever imagined.

It was held in the evening at  The Crest Pavilion high in the beautiful mountains.

The venue is not only breathtaking while surrounded by the mountains but it's also a very calming and peaceful environment.

We felt secluded and in our own little world.

 

 

With the help of my dream team of ladies they each physically helped me set everything up and turn the venue into a dreamy Neverland.

Lori and Karla are not seen in the photo but were very much included in the set up.

 

I am grateful for their help.

Karla Nathan handmade wee little mushrooms for the centerpieces.

Instead of numbers I labeled each table with a fairytale name.

Unicorns, Woodland Fae's, Fairy Godmothers, Water Sprites, etc.

So cute and fun.

I made a grapevine wreath chandelier for the center of the barn.

Beautiful Sponsor bags were made with the help of Lori Oles.

The day was spent crafting their hearts out and creating the most beautiful projects.

Throughout the day there was plenty of opportunity for photo ops.

As the sun went down and the ladies grew a little more tired. I decided to crank up the fun with music, dinner, and drinks!

After dinner the music really got cranked. Ladies parted the tables and started dancing. It was a hoot to watch! Im pretty sure Tiffany has video. hee! hee!

While some ladies were dancing...other's were enjoying the starry night and roasted smores over the firepit.

It was an incredible ending to an AMAZING day!

Our Saturday started bright and early with our tour of Biltmore Estates.

Shortly after our tour of grand Biltmore we took the 2nd part of the event day to downtown Asheville.

 

A quaint little bakery shop called Bake It Pretty

for the Gift Swap Exchange Party.

 

The space is owned by the beautiful and lovely Amanda Krueger.

You can visit her Shop to order baking goodies and supplies.

 

 

The shop is now selling yummy pies!

 

 

 

 

The inside is small and sweet as can be!

 

 

 

 

 

Amanda was so thoughtful and kind to make us mini cupcakes to enjoy.

 

 

The bakery is cozy and quaint and boy did it fill up fast with ladies, 

gorgeous handmade swap gifts, laughter, and tons of "ooooh's and aaaah's".

We had a festive time at the bakery exchanging swap gifts. 

Our evening ended with a relaxing night out on the town.

Enjoying dinners and the festive downtown scene.

 

 

 

 

It's never easy having to leave and say our goodbye's.

A few tears are shed, and hugs abound.

The weekend comes and goes lightning fast.

A year in the planning flashes in the blink of an eye.

 

I reflect on the weekend with great pride. Pride for the vision and hard work that was brought to life. Pride in the gorgeous projects the ladies tenderly made. Pride in seeing old friendships come together, and new friendships so lovingly made.

 

This event would not have been possible if it were not for the ladies who signed up and traveled from hundreds of miles away.

 

Once Upon A Dream honestly far exceeded my expectations. It was more perfect than I could have ever hoped for. The weekend will forever hold a lasting memory in my heart.

I appreciate you for supporting me in my dreams and enabling my visions to come true.
