SPRING FEVER!!!!

Hello my sweet lovely friends! Glad you could stop by and pay me a visit. The past couple of days here in the deep south have been absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Gorgeous blue skies and mild warm sunny weather. I am having MAJOR spring fever!!!! I laugh because we are still in mid February and Valentines Day hasn't even approached us, and yet I've moved on to decorating and crafting for Easter! I've noticed MANY other artist have too. ;) 

I've pulled Miss Bunny out of storage. She says "Hello & Welcome!"

Ok, just so you know. I have NOT pulled out the Easter decor yet. This is just a few samples of what's to come. :)

I have FINALLY finished creating all of my V-day swaps, and with spring close by and Easter approaching us soon I could NOT resist creating something sweet and whimsical for Easter.

I created some Easter ornaments and this is the Pink Easter Bunny Ornament. I used velvet ribbon, millinery,feathers, plastic eggs, vintage child image, and chenille to create this precious little piece.

OK! Im SUPER DUPER THRILLED to announce that the very enchanting and talented Lisa Kettell did a little write up feature on me in her new quarterly Faerie Zne Vol 4. magazine. I cant WAIT to get my hands on a copy. You can see my name and bunny box in the left column. YIPPEE!!!!!    

Now onto some MORE visual eye candy treats!!!! With my birthday quickly approaching I could NOT resist Miss Sadie Lou's BIRTHDAY BETSY! I was looking at her Etsy shop, and than with one look I just had to HAVE her.

Im blown away by all the super sweet hostess gifts that Cheryl and I have received. There are some SERIOUS fun perks to hosting! LOL!!!

Im the mail I recieved two more hostess gifts. One was from the very sweet and talented Maria Rodarte. Lookie at this beautiful cupid box and it's sweet treats. Sooo yummy!!!!

My next sweet treats where from Miss Kelly. She is a hairdresser that is super girlie and owns a hair salon in the coolist historic building. She is just now getting back into crafting was excited to join our swap! Lookie at the goodies she sent.

Many of you know Miss Jessi Nagy. We met at Silver Bella and we kid and joke with each other that we are siblings. She's my big SIS beacause everyone says we look alike. Jessi and I have a great friendship and she has blessed me with some super fun and fabulous gifts. Well, I got a package in the mail last week from Miss Jessi and low and behold it was an early b-day gift. She saw it, thought of me and couldn't resist buying it. I opened the package and let out a HUGE squeel!!! It was a vintage baby planter. I have a serious collection growing and when I saw this planter I just "oooh'd and aaah'd" over it's sweetness! 

       

It's displayed with all of my other little lovelies.

Jessi just recently had surgery and is home and resting well. It means the world when someone see's something special and immediatley they think of YOU! THANK YOU Jessi!!!!

She was ALSO so kind to present me with an award.

WHEW! What a long post!!!! Okey-dok. Gotta start packing for my trip! Pray I dont fall and break any bones! LOL!!! I will have my laptop with me and will be joining in on the V-DAY secret admirer swap fun!!!! Cant WAIT to see all of your sweet creations!

Pink vintage frills & cute whimsy bunnies

 

Greetings my sweet friends! I've been super busy creating again, and gearing up for Silver Bella which is right around the corner. Im counting the days and am sooo excited!!! I have some fun yummy treats I want to share with you all. Some are FABULOUS vintage finds, and the others are NEW sweet & whimsy bunnies I have just created. Grab your hankie to wipe the sweat of your brow because this is guaranteed to make your heart pitter patter. :)

I am TICKLED PINK over my vintage jewelry! Arent they exquisite?? The ear bobs do hurt and "pinch" a little bit, but WHO CARES! They look FAB. LOL!!!! 

    

These are fun & flirty dance slips I purchased on Ebay. They are sooo junk gypsy! The pink one Im taking to Silver Bella for sure!!!! The white one is AVAILABLE if anyone wants to borrow!!!!!

Im SUPER excited to share my new bunnies with you all. I have the BEST time creating these little sweetie pies.

This first one in my opinion turned out SOOO CUTE & FUN!!!! It is a Vintage Circus Bunny keepsake box. The vintage items used where purchased from Ebay. He's ready to find a new home and is available at my Etsy shop.   

This next bunny is a Christmas Snowbunny keepsake box and is one of my personal FAVORITES! Im still undecided whether to keep her or sell her. She is just sooo yummy SWEET!  The PERFECT shabby colors!

As I mentioned above "Im on the fence" whether to keep her, but I WILL possibly be making a few more bunnies for the holiday that I will sell, along with some  darling vintage ornaments.

Hello my blogging gal pals! Grab a toothbrush! This is going too be toooooo sweet for words! Actually call your dentist and make an appointment. You might get cavity after seeing this. hee! hee! I decided that after creating Rosanna's shadowbox, that I loved the overall theme and colors, and decided to make a framed collage similar in idea and style. I think it turned out pretty darn cute! I purchased an old frame and painted it white. The collage itself has allllll sorts of goodies. Lace, glitter, candy,faux pearls,ribbon, chenille, just to name a few. Rosanna's sweet shadowbox

Hello all of my sweet blogging friends. Are you ready for some major eye candy? Well after 3 loooong weeks Im sooooooo excited to share with you Rosanna's custom shadowbox. Now some of you might not know who Rosanna is, but Im sure many of you in our "artist and collectors circle of friends", know very well who she is. I'll give you a little background info. She is lives in Italy and is a huge supporter and collector of independent artist. You would NOT believe her art collection! It's OVER THE TOP! Her home is like a fairytale of only the sweetest and prettiest of treasures. She has stuff by Nicole Sayre, Jen O'Conner of Earth Angels, Missy Balance of Mohair Circus, Jenn & Aaron from Everyday is a Holiday. Laurie Duncan from Happy as a Lark, Holly from Holly Doodle Designs, and the list goes ON!!!!!!!!  Well, Rosanna contacted me a few weeks ago after seeing Vivian's shadowbox. She requested I make one for her and her five year old daughter Nicole. Let me tell you I was BEYOND estatic!!!! Just to think that she thought so much of my work was the highest compliment! It's hard not to compare youself to sooo many talented and amazing artist. Im just little ole' me making cute girlie shadowboxes. So needless to say I was very flattered and honored. With all that being said............ TA-DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This custom piece has truly been a labor of love. I would sit down at night after I put the kiddies to bed, and I would lose myself for hours in creating all the sweet small details that went into this. It's so much fun using your imagination, and creating something so fairytale and magical. Im honored and delighted that Miss Rosanna will add this to her OVER THE TOP collection. :)

My Sweet new birdie keepsake boxes.

Hello sweet friends! I want you to meet a few of my of feathered girlfriends that I have just finished creating and are now available on my new Etsy shop. YEAH!!!!!! This is my first time selling on Etsy, and Im sooo excited! I had a blast creating these adorable little birdies. I MUST give credit to the wonderful Cherri at Little Pink Studio. She has been creating these darling little princess birds for awhile, and when I laid eyes on them I fell in love. So, I thought why not make my little version of a cute keepsake box with them. So......I present to you...TA-DA..."The girls". :)

"TA-DA!" Vivian's shadowbox collage.

Finally! After 4 weeks of working on this shadowbox for my daughters room it's finally finished! It has been a true labor of love! I wanted to create something that was girlie with a sweet vintage touch.

I used all sorts of sweet goodies in this shadowbox.  Vintage chenille, lace, greeting card images, ornaments, dolls, faux pearls, scrapbook paper,  buttons, glitter, and little treasures I picked up along the way.

I added the "BLING" ring because it represents the old saying "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend". :) 

I could not be happier with the way it turned out. Im excited that Vivian will have a handmade cherished keepsake that she can enjoy for many, many years.

Now that the shadowbox is finished. Im going to start working on creating some small little treasures to sell on Etsy, and get busy on my ornaments for the Silver Bella swap. I'll keep you posted on when it's up and running. XOXO, Jenn
